General The Search facility allows you to look for specific items in the on-line Giant Car Boot sale, by restricting the items you look at just to those you want. (If you want to look at everything, you want to use the "browsing" facility.) Search by grouping If you want to look at all products in a particular category, select the category and/or the type that interests you. The categories selection is more general than the types selection. So the list of categories is shorter than the types list, but returns a much larger number of items. If you select something from BOTH the categories AND the types section, you will only get back items that are in both categories. For example, if you select Kitchen Goods and Kettle, you would get back items that are categorised as both Kitchen Goods and Kettle. But you would not get back a "Kettle" that was described, say, as "Household goods". Flexible search For more flexibility, you can specify exactly the words you want to look for, without having to rely on our pre-set groupings. Just enter the key words in the "Search words" box. If you enter more than one key word, you may be looking for any item that has any one of the words (such as "lawnmower" or "trimmer"), or you may want only items that match every word (such as "petrol can"). To specify your request, select your choice in the "Search type" box. |
